All Rideau Canal lockstations will open to boating traffic for the summer on June 2, according to Parks Canada.

"Boaters should be aware that water levels and flows remain high and intermittent closures may be required in the future to protect boater safety," they said in a news release Thursday.

"All efforts will be made to alert boaters of any unforeseen closures or delays due to weather conditions," they said.
