All Rideau Canal lock stations have been reopened after high water levels led Parks Canada to close most of the canal last Tuesday.

Originally, only the lock stations in Ottawa, Newboro and Narrows remained last week, and the rest were gradually reopened over several days.

"Parks Canada teams have worked diligently to rectify the situation and are pleased to begin the process of fully reopening the canal in stages," they said in a media release last week.

Boaters were being asked to stay moored until further notice.
