Three people are temporarily homeless after an overnight fire in the south Ottawa community of Richmond.
The flames broke out late Sunday night, just before midnight, at 105 Lennox St. near South Carleton High School, firefighters said in a news release.
There were flames on the roof of the detached bungalow by the time firefighters arrived. Three people inside had managed to get out safely themselves.
Two people were assessed by paramedics and one of them was taken to hospital to be treated for non-critical injuries, firefighters said.
The fire department is investigating the cause of the fire. A damage estimate was not immediately available Monday.
