As Ottawa moves into a new generation of light rail, we go back to May 1, 1959, when the city's last trolley rumbled through the streets.

As Ottawa builds a light rail system across and under the city's core, it's worth noting the last time a streetcar made its way across the capital's streets was nearly 55 years ago, on May 1, 1959.
