Police release age-enhanced sketch of boy who disappeared 37 years ago

Ontario Provincial Police have released an age-enhanced sketch of what a five-year-old who went missing in the Calabogie area, west of Ottawa, in 1972 might look like today.

Renfrew OPP created the picture in hopes the public might be able to help them find the missing boy, who could now be a 42-year-old man.

Adrien McNaughton, who was born in 1966 and lived in Arnprior, was last seen wandering into a wooded area near Calabogie where he had been fishing with his father and three siblings on Holmes Lake — around 100 kilometres west of Ottawa.

That was on June 12, 1972.

An extensive search was conducted for the five-year-old, said police, but no trace of the boy was found.

McNaughton was wearing an orange striped shirt, jeans, a blue nylon parka and running shoes.
