Thursday will dry up and get warmer

After some showers tomorrow, the weekend looks bright, warm and dry.

Expect some rain to return on Friday

A  dry weather day ahead today, but rain will return tomorrow.

Look for considerable cloudiness, with a high near 11 C — still below normal, but far better than yesterday's chill.

The breeze will blow out of the northeast around 20 km/h this morning.

Flood waters in the city are expected to peak today and tomorrow.

Ottawa only got about eight millimetres of rain yesterday, and while a little more fell early this morning, it wasn't the 25 millimetres Environment Canada was forecasting as the rainfall ceiling.

There are more showers are in Ottawa's forecast tonight into tomorrow, but at least the weekend is set to be warm and dry.

It will be bright, include some of the warmest days we've seen this year and most importantly, be dry.
