Ottawa police said there will be an increased police presence around the memorial where Cpl. Nathan Cirillo was shot to death the morning of Oct. 22.
A few days earlier, Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent died after he was run over by a car in a parking lot in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que.
Thousands gather at the war memorial every year on Nov. 11 to pay their respects to veterans.
