Ottawa's $3-billion budget for 2015 includes a two-per-cent property tax increase, a similar rise in recreation fees and an average 2.5-per-cent hike in transit fares.
City council approved the budget on Wednesday afternoon without making any significant changes since the first draft was introduced earlier this year.
The water and sewer rate will increase by six per cent while the city struggles to repair aging infrastructure.
There's also spending on everything from planting trees to funding a so-called "exit strategy" for adult gang members.
