While some Ottawa families welcome news their loved ones are safe, others are still waiting to hear from travellers who were in Nepal during the earthquake.

Another missing Ottawa trekker has been found alive in Nepal, but some other local families are still waiting for news from their loved ones.

Sam Caldbick, 28, told his wife he was uninjured in Langtang National Park — the same mountain region from which another Ottawa hiker, Faye Kennedy, was airlifted with minor injures.

Sarah Brant said her brother Raj Anthony is missing in that same park but news that other trekkers have survived gives her hope.

The family of Gatineau's Éric Lauzier, 29, said Tuesday that they were still waiting to hear from him. On Wednesday, his family said Lauzier had written a short email saying he's safe.
