Ham Solo: Charlie Ross brings 1-man Star Wars trilogy to Ottawa
Off-Broadway show features favourite scenes, dozens of characters
Charlie Ross admits he's "wearing his nerd on his sleeve" when he performs his One Man Star Wars Trilogy. But he just might be the nerd you're looking for.
Ross, who performs his off-Broadway show at Centrepointe Theatre on Wednesday night, stopped by CBC Radio's Ottawa Morning to demonstrate how he packs all the pivotal scenes — as well as dozens of characters and sound effects — from Episodes IV through VI into a light-speed 75 minutes.
Tonight's performance is also a fundraiser for the Ottawa Fringe Festival.
Ross mimics more than 40 voices from a vast array of Star Wars characters — everyone from Luke Skywalker to R2-D2 to Chewbacca.
In this sneak peek, Ross performs the trash compactor scene from Episode IV for Ottawa Morning host Robyn Bresnahan.
