O-Train Trillium Line service resumes after launch problems
Trillium Line, between Greenboro and Bayview station, back in service
The O-Train Trillium Line is running again between Greenboro and Bayview stations after "signal interruptions" along the new passing tracks forced OC Transpo to shut down the service.
OC Transpo said the system was "performing well" when it ran trains from end to end of the Trillium Line as a test, and announced it was back in service just after 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
A mechanical failure at the Carleton University switching station caused delays Monday morning as OC Transpo launched what was meant to be a more frequent service with new trains.
On Tuesday, OC Transpo shut down the service to fix two signal interruptions.
OC Transpo general manager John Manconi warned commuters service would be also be suspended on Wednesday as crews worked to fix the issues.
