Kathleen Edwards's 1957 Les Paul Junior guitar stolen
Ottawa-based musician Kathleen Edwards is pleading for the safe return of her valuable 1957 Les Paul Junior guitar, which she says was recently stolen from her home.
In a message posted on her Facebook page on Thursday, Edwards said the guitar was likely taken by someone who came in through an unlocked back door of her home in the southwest Ottawa suburb of Stittsville.
In her post, Edwards said this model of guitar doesn't get sold or played in front of people without drawing attention, and it would be better for whomever took it to return it.
"If the guitar is returned, I can accept a 'no questions asked' agreement,'" Edwards said. "Whether that means the guitar is returned to my business, Quitters coffee, to my home, or through a mutual acquaintance. I can accept a foolish drunken teenage lapse of judgment, a momentary hiccup in your moral being.
"I can promise you that the instrument will not make you money, it will not go unnoticed and you will at some point be caught.
"Do the right thing," she wrote.
