A 27-year-old man is facing a series of charges including attempted murder after a stabbing at a Gatineau HMV store.
Gatineau Police said they were called to Les Promenades Gatineau at around 3:20 p.m. Sunday after an employee at the music store was stabbed in the back.
Police said the man was stabbed over a disagreement with a customer about a purchase, though they did not provide further details. The victim suffered serious injuries, but is in stable condition.
Police said the suspect attempted to flee, but was arrested inside the mall minutes later.
He appeared in court Tuesday to face charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, assault causing bodily harm and attempted murder.
