Grey Cup bet between Ottawa, Edmonton mayors is quite tame

The mayors of Edmonton and Ottawa have agreed to a rather tame bet over this weekend's Grey Cup that involves a food bank donation from the winner's city to the loser's city, while the losing mayor has to wear the opponent city's jersey.

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson tweeted out the details on Wednesday as the Edmonton Eskimos and Ottawa Redblacks prepare for Sunday's championship game.

Edmonton Mayor Don Iveson then tweeted "Deal. Everybody wins!"

This bet won't rate as one of the more intriguing among mayors, which some people joked about on social media.
