The best women's team in the world arrives in the capital looking to win championship.

Top-ranked Germany arrived in Ottawa to much fanfare on Sunday, along with Norway, one week before the teams kick off their 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The Women's World Cup officially kicks off on Saturday with two matches in Edmonton, including Canada's first match.

The group action in Ottawa starts Sunday with Norway facing Thailand, who arrived last week, and Germany facing the Ivory Coast.
