A man and a woman who were inside the same Jasmine Crescent apartment building as 18-year-old Connor Stevenson when he was stabbed last Tuesday might have "important information" about the case, according to homicide investigators with Ottawa police.

Ottawa police are asking for the public's help to identify the man and woman pictured on an elevator.

"Investigators believe they have important information to contribute to the investigation," Staff-Sgt. Robert Drummond said in a news release.

"When viewing these images, the public should think back to last Tuesday and see if they remember anyone fitting the description of the person in these images. We are asking that anyone who believes they recognize these persons to contact our investigators,"

Stevenson, a former Gloucester High School student, died in hospital after he was stabbed in a stairwell at 2020 Jasmine Cres.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 613-236-1222, ext 5493 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
