Woman dies, 3 from Ont. injured in Highway 103 crash

RCMP say one person has died in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 103 in Hubbards, N.S.

A 75-year-old woman is dead after her van swerved into oncoming traffic on Highway 103 in Hubbards, N.S. Saturday morning.

Myrtle Veinotte, 75, from Beech Hill was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her maroon van hit an SUV carrying six occupants believed to be from Toronto. Four of them were injured and three are in critical condition.

LifeFlight brought the victims to hospital.

The highway was closed at Exit 6 backing up traffic for several kilometres. It has since reopened.
