Jamie Oliver knives available again at Sobeys after depleted stock

Sobeys has new stock of Jamie Oliver knives for shoppers who collect stamps in the popular promotion.

Sobeys will stop issuing stamps on Feb. 18 and customers have until March 9 to redeem

The Jamie Oliver knives are in.

The knife promotion at Sobeys stores was so popular some stores ran out of them last month.

"They're in stock. Everything came in, except the forks and [sharpening] steels," said Sandra Sparrow, an employee at the Mumford Road Sobeys location in Halifax.

The promotion offered customers a stamp for each $10 spent at the store. Once they collected enough, they could earn free knives.

But the chef's knives, carving knives and carving forks in particular were flying off the shelves, leaving some shoppers wondering if their stamps would still be of use.

"The shipment arrived yesterday and stores across Atlantic Canada are receiving product today and tomorrow," said Shauna Selig, a spokeswoman for Sobeys.

Sobeys will stop issuing stamps on Feb. 18 and customers have until March 9 to redeem them, she said.
