A fourth Nova Scotia beach has been closed in less than 24 hours due to high bacteria levels.
The Halifax Regional Municipality added Shubie Beach to the list of closed beaches on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Nova Scotia's Department of Health closed Bayswater Beach in Lunenburg County and the HRM shutdown Government Wharf beach in Musquodoboit Harbour to swimming.
High levels of bacteria are also keeping swimmers landlocked at Campbell Point Beach on Hatchet Lake, as well as Kinap Beach in Porter’s Lake.
Officials with the department say that beach will reopen when water testing shows it's safe.
