Halifax hospital patient found safe, police say

Halifax Regional Police say a missing 48-year-old Halifax man has been located safe. The force made the announcement in a statement issued late Friday night.

Halifax Regional Police say a missing 48-year-old Halifax man has been located safe. 

The force made the announcement in a statement issued late Friday night.

The man had walked away from the emergency room at the QEII  hospital early Tuesday morning, prompting an alert to be issued.

Police and ground search and rescue crews combed an area in the south end of the city Thursday looking for him.
