Sable Island: CBC makes history, broadcasting live from island
Information Morning broadcast live from Sable Island
CBC's Information Morning made history Thursday morning, broadcasting live for the first time from Sable Island, located 300 kilometres off the coast of Nova Scotia.
After keeping a close eye on the weather over the last couple of days, conditions were favourable Wednesday to get a CBC Nova Scotia crew to Halifax's most remote neighbourhood: Sable Island.
As per our policy, CBC is paying for the cost of travel as well as accommodations on the island.
Don Connolly hosted Information Morning live from Sable Island on Thursday morning, something no one has ever done before:

- Listen to Information Morning live from Sable Island, Part 2
- Listen to Information Morning live from Sable Island, Part 3
- Listen to Information Morning live from Sable Island, Part 4
- Listen to Information Morning live from Sable Island, Part 5
He's part of a five-person team from CBC Nova Scotia spending a planned 36 hours on the island.
They arrived Wednesday afternoon, a day earlier than originally scheduled. The variable weather on Sable makes exact planning difficult.
