The rink at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre in Truro is shut down indefinitely due to mechanical problems.

According to a statement from general manager Jim Lambert, there’s a problem with the rink’s refrigeration system and it can’t make quality ice.

“Although the refrigeration company that built and commissioned the unit has been on site for most of the past two weeks, they remain unable to determine the source of the problems,” reads the release.

The rink says it still has concerns about the safety of the ice and is suspending all rentals until further notice.
