Princess of Acadia's Friday sailings cancelled
Saturday morning crossing from Saint John also cancelled
The Princess of Acadia ferry isn't going anywhere soon.
The ferry, which runs between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, lost power and ran aground near Digby on Thursday.
Bay Ferries has cancelled four more crossings: the Princess of Acadia didn't run at 9 a.m. and will not leave Digby at 4 p.m. on Friday. The Saturday and Sunday morning runs have also been cancelled.
Federal investigators are still on the scene. Bay Ferries president Mark MacDonald said the 146-metre boat won't head back out onto the water until it's safe to do so.
A dive team went in Thursday night after the vessel lost power. MacDonald wouldn't say what they found.
Just last winter, the 42-year-old vessel was shipped to South Carolina for repairs to its bow thruster.
It was out of service for a month.
