Calgary to host 2016 Juno festivities March 28-April 3
A slew of Nova Scotians will be vying for Juno awards, including Skratch Bastid, Mo Kenney and Joel Plaskett.

The list of nominees was released Tuesday.
Halifax's Ria Mae's single Clothes Off will be going up against singer-songwriter Alessia Cara, R&B singer The Weeknd, rap superstar Drake, and pop phenom Justin Bieber in the single of the year category.
The Afiara Quartet and Skratch Bastid's album Spin Cycle is recognized in the instrumental album of the year category.
Singer-songwriters Plaskett and Kenney are both nominated for adult alternative album of the year for the Park Avenue Sobriety Test and In My Dreams respectively.
J.P. Cormier's album The Chance and Old Man Luedecke's Domestic Eccentric are both nominated for traditional roots album of the year.
For the jazz album of the year group, the Jerry Granelli Trio is recognized for What I Hear Now.
Producer Henry "Cirkut" Walter is nominated for the Jack Richardson producer of the year award.
Jeff Reilly, along with Andrea Ludwig, Charles Daniels, John Potter, and Suzie Leblanc, has been nominated in the classical album category for Peter-Anthony Togni: Responsio.
The 2016 Juno Awards take place in Calgary, with a week of JunoFest celebrations set for March 28 through April 3.
