A powerful winter storm will impact the Maritimes Sunday and Monday, with heavy snow, ice pellets, freezing rain, and rain all expected for various parts of the region.

Powerful northerly winds will accompany the system on Sunday and continue into Monday.

Travel will be hazardous on Sunday, with impacts to flights and ferries being likely. Power outages will also be possible due to the high winds.
