Marine Atlantic crossings delayed due to poor weather

Marine Atlantic says ferries scheduled to leave at 11:45 a.m. will be delayed several hours with the North Sydney boat leaving at 4:30 p.m. and the Port aux Basques departure scheduled for 2:30 p.m.

11:45 a.m. ferry from North Sydney is now scheduled to depart at 4:30 p.m.

For the second straight day poor weather on the Cabot Strait is affecting ferry service between Nova Scotia and Newfoundland with two crossings delayed by several hours.

Marine Atlantic says both crossings scheduled to leave at 11:45 a.m. are pushed back.

The ferry leaving North Sydney is now scheduled to depart at 4:30 p.m. and the Port aux Basques crossing has been moved to 2:30 p.m.

Yesterday Marine Atlantic cancelled crossings due to high winds.
