Police have issued an arrest warrant for the man charged in a high profile death in the Annapolis Valley.

In March, 22-year-old Kyle Fredericks was charged with trafficking and criminal negligence causing death in relation to the death of Joshua Graves.

Graves died on March 19, 2011 after taking a lethal combination of Dilaudid and alcohol at a party. Following his death, the RCMP said they received a public complaint and information from the subsequent investigation resulted in the criminal charges against Fredericks.

RCMP say they arrested Fredericks early Sunday morning for allegedly breaching his bail conditions.

A few minutes later he escaped custody.

Fredericks was charged after Graves sister Amy mounted a public campaign urging police to reopen the investigation into her brother's death.
