Kid Rock, Counting Crows concert cancelled
A concert featuring Kid Rock and the Counting Crows on the Halifax Common this July has been cancelled.
Concert promoter Harold MacKay announced Wednesday night that the first day of this year's Halifax Rocks festival has been shelved.
Two local groups — Jimmy Swift Band and the Stanfields — were also scheduled to play July 23.
Ticket holders with seats for the show can get a full refund from Ticket Atlantic or the Metro Centre, MacKay said in an email. The email did not state why the shows were cancelled.
"Only the July 23rd concert has been cancelled and I have nothing to add," MacKay said in his email.
The July 24 show, featuring headliners the Black Eyed Peas and Weezer, is still going ahead. Other performers that night include Hot Hot Heat, Rich Aucoin and Chad Hatcher.
Kid Rock and the Counting Crows have not cancelled any other scheduled summer shows.
