Federal Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau continued his east coast tour today in Nova Scotia with a stop at the Bridgewater Chamber of Commerce.

Trudeau’s started his tour in New Brunswick, where he made headlines Saturday when he called out Prime Minister Stephen Harper, saying he was “on the wrong side of history” in his refusal to launch a public inquiry to study the high number of missing and murdered aboriginal women.

Trudeau spent time campaigning with his provincial counterpart, Brian Gallant. He said greater scientific study is needed before Canada expands its shale gas industry.

Also during his New Brunswick stop, Trudeau addressed a group of anti-abortion protesters. He said the Liberal party would not be changing its pro-choice stance on the matter.

Later today, Trudeau is scheduled to meet with municipal leaders in the Lunenburg area to address issues facing the region.

Trudeau took a moment to get back in the boxing ring to spar with former competitive boxer Mickey MacDonald at Palooka’s gym on the Bedford Highway.

The pair will then met with youth from the local non-profit group Family SOS.
