Cellphone records for the missing 71-year-old have also been turned over to police
Police have tracked his whereabouts to a Canadian Tire and then Home Depot in Dartmouth Crossing on Sunday. The video is from the Canadian Tire. Police say they released it to show Cuthbert's full appearance and how he carries himself.
His cellphone provider, Bell, has turned over records to police after Cuthbert's wife requested the information and authorized it.
Bell spokesman Albert Lee said in an email there are only specific circumstances when cellphone records are turned over.
"Bell would only disclose confidential customer information to police without a warrant if the customer or a person authorized by the customer gives their consent. In this case, Mrs. Cuthbert is an authorized person on her husband’s account. She requested that police be given access to the account information and we complied," he said.
Cuthbert’s family said Thursday the man from Head of Jeddore only had $5 in his pocket and his debit card has not been used. Cuthbert’s cell phone and computer have been turned over to police.
His family says Cuthbert visited his 102-year-old mother every other day, and his family knew something was wrong when he missed the visit on Sunday.
Cuthbert drives a white 2012 Toyota Prius with Nova Scotia licence plate DTV 905. He is white, six feet tall and 170 pounds.
