RCMP investigating after body found in burned vehicle in Pictou County

RCMP are investigating after officers discovered human remains in an abandoned, burned vehicle in Greenhill, N.S.

The vehicle was found Saturday afternoon on MacLean Road in Greenhill, N.S.

RCMP are investigating after officers discovered human remains in an abandoned, burned vehicle in Greenhill, N.S.

The person has not yet been identified and the situation is considered suspicious, police said in a news release Monday. 

Officers in Pictou County were called to MacLean Road on Saturday afternoon. Const. Dominic Laflamme said the RCMP remained at the scene on Monday afternoon. 

He said there was no evidence to suggest any ongoing risk to the public.
