HMCS Toronto does double duty on drugs

The Canadian frigate, HMCS Toronto, which is involved in the war or terrorism, also got involved in the war on drugs on Wednesday.

HMCS Toronto noticed two suspicious boats in the Arabian Sea.

On board, the Canadians discovered two tonnes of hashish or opium, worth as much as $72 million.

The Department of Defence says Toronto's guns destroyed the drugs and the boats on Thursday.

Toronto left Halifax harbour in December.
