Hundreds of people gathered dockside in Halifax Sunday morning for the return of HMCS Fredericton after a seven month deployment in Europe.
The ship and crew left in December to join a standing NATO force for Operation Reassurance.
It docked shortly after 10:30 a.m. and was greeted by a crowd of family and friends, many holding signs to welcome the sailors.
The Royal Canadian Navy says the ship was supporting international security.
