Halifax shooting plot: Thanks pour in for police
Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil was one of hundreds who offered their gratitude to the officers who prevented an alleged mass murder plot.
Grateful Haligonians are offering an outpouring of support to Halifax Regional Police and the RCMP after an alleged plot for a mass killing at the Halifax Shopping Centre was stopped on Friday.
"On behalf of the provincial government and all Nova Scotians, I want to reiterate my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the law–enforcement professionals who prevented a terrible crime from being committed in our capital city," said Premier Stephen McNeil in a statement.
It's a feeling that has been reiterated online with hundreds of tweets and messages of thanks.
