Man suffers life-threatening injuries in Sunday night shooting, Halifax police say

Police say a man suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting in central Halifax on Sunday night.

Halifax Regional Police officers were called to the 2400 block of Gottingen Street at approximately 7:30 p.m., according to a news release.

They found a man who had been shot. He was transported to hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries, the release said.

The 2400 block is located between Charles and Buddy Daye streets.

Officers temporarily closed parts of Gottingen Street and Uniacke Street, but all roads have since reopened. 

Police are looking for a suspect, but offered no details or description.
