Halifax Needs armed robbery has police looking for suspect
The clerk was not injured but the suspect made off with cigarettes and cash
Police in Halifax are investigating an armed robbery at the Needs on Chebucto Road early this morning.
At around 1:55 a.m., officers were called to the store for a report of a robbery that had just happened.
Police say the suspect brought out a handgun and demanded cigarettes and money from the clerk.
The suspect fled the store with cigarettes and money.
Officers say they're looking for a white male, around 17 or 18 years old, five feet seven inches tall, wearing black sweat pants, a black hoodie with a multicolored design on the front and a black ball cap.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
This is the third time in just over a week the same store has been in the news. On Friday just after 12 a.m., a man robbed the store with a handgun and demanded cash and cigarettes. On Saturday, May 23, a man was arrested in the parking lot of the Needs after committing five overnight robberies and attempted robberies.
