Hodor is coming — to Halifax.

Kristian Nairn, best known for the beloved character 'Hodor' on the massively successful HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones, will be in Halifax this November for Hal-Con.

Hal-Con touts itself as Atlantic Canada's largest science fiction, comic book and fantasy convention.

In addition to playing the lovable giant with a limited vocabulary in the television adaptation of George R.R. Martin's best-selling book series, A Song of Ice and Fire, Nairn is also internationally renowned in the music industry.

Nairn has played with a variety of bands, including the Scissor Sisters. He also DJs and works as a music producer. Nairn will be putting his DJing skills to use at Hal-Con, spinning during part of the convention's annual dance.

Hal-Con runs between November 7 and 9.
