Singers Joel Plaskett and Jenn Grant will join scientist David Suzuki in Halifax during the September stop of what could be the environmentalist's final national tour.

Suzuki is launching a campaign to pressure Canada to join 110 other countries that recognize the right of citizens to live in a healthy environment.

Canadian musicians like Neil Young, Margaret Atwood, Bruce Cockburn and Feist are joining Suzuki in various cities during the Blue Dot Tour this fall.

Suzuki will speak at the Rebecca Cohn auditorium in Halifax on September 27. Tickets prices range from $21.50 to $151.50.

Joel Plaskett will join Suzuki for the Halifax stop.

In a video release Suzuki said: "Despite living in a country where taking care of one and other is just something we do, our right to breathe fresh air, drink clean water and eat healthy food is not recognized. But we can change that."

Spoken word artist Shane Koyczan is also scheduled to appear.
