A Dalhousie University law professor will lead a Nova Scotia task force on cyberbullying.
Wayne MacKay will head a five-member panel that will report with recommendations in December.
MacKay is a constitutional and human rights expert who was appointed a member of the Order of Canada in 2005.
Education Minister Ramona Jennex announced the task force last month in response to two recent cases of grieving parents blaming online bullying for their children's suicides.
It's expected the group will examine the extent of cyberbullying, strengthening school policies and possible legislation.
A series of eight focus groups will also be held to seek input from young people before the task force produces its recommendations.
