A 48-year-old man has died in a crash involving a tractor-trailer near Kentville, N.S., RCMP say.

A 48-year-old man has died following a crash involving a tractor-trailer near Kentville, N.S., police say.

Kings District RCMP and EHS were called to the site of the collision on Riverside Drive in Cambridge Station at around 8 p.m. on Thursday, according to a news release.

The crash involved an SUV and a tractor-trailer that had been travelling in opposite directions, the release says.

The driver of the SUV, a Kentville resident, was the only person in that vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was also travelling alone and was not injured, the release says.
