German airline Condor is discontinuing service to Frankfurt for the upcoming summer at six airports across North America, including Halifax and Edmonton.

This comes after court proceedings between Condor and another German airline, Lufthansa, impacted "the general circumstances and conditions of accessing these feeder flights," according to a statement from Condor to CBC.

Condor says it has been "forced to review and adjust its summer 2025 schedule in the U.S. and Canada in advance of the peak summer booking season."

Washington/Baltimore, Minneapolis, San Antonio and Phoenix are the other markets where service to Frankfurt has been discontinued.

Condor will continue to operate in other parts of Canada, including Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.

A spokesperson for Halifax Stanfield International Airport said news that the service has been suspended is disappointing.

"Condor has served the Halifax market for 22 years, with the exception of 2020 due to the pandemic," Leah Batstone said in an email.

Discover Airlines will operate non-stop flights from Halifax to Frankfurt five times a week from March to October.
