Everest Canadian Seniors curling tournament draws top curlers to Digby

Fourteen teams are playing in the 2016 Canadian Senior Men's and Women's Curling Championship at the Digby Area Recreation Centre in Digby, N.S. this weekend.

Team Nova Scotia, led by Colleen Jones, has defeated Team Saskatchewan to win the Canadian senior women's curling title. 

The 2016 Canadian Senior Men's and Women's Curling Championship is on at the Digby Area Recreation Centre in Digby, N.S. 

Fourteen teams from across Canada competed in the tournament. They are Canada's top curlers 50 years old and older.

The women's teams have several world champions, including CBC News reporter and skip Jones who competed with her Mayflower rink in the gold medal game Saturday evening.

Ontario's Bryan Cochrane defeated Manitoba'sRandy Neufeld to take the men's title.

The tournament began on March 28 and concludes Saturday. This is the fifth time the tournament has been in Nova Scotia.
