Halifax Regional Police say it appears that a blind woman who was found unconscious under a bridge fell off a path after becoming disoriented.
Holly Elizabeth Bartlett, 31, was discovered Saturday under the A. Murray MacKay Bridge. She died later in hospital.
Police said Bartlett returned home by cab around midnight. They don't believe she was on the bridge.
"We believe what had happened is that she died of a result of a fall on her way home," said Const. Brian Palmeter. "At this time, we do believe it was an accidental death."
Police said earlier that Bartlett was slightly hypothermic, but they don't believe she was in the water.
