The odds are good there will be more than one Ava and Owen in the class of 2033.
The Nova Scotia government has released the most popular names given to babies born in the province in 2015. At least 56 babies named Ava and 59 named Owen were born in the province this year, putting them at the top of the heap.

Ava's popularity grew this year, up two spots from No. 3 in 2014 to unseat Emma as the most popular girls' name. Owen was the fourth most popular name for boys in 2014, moving up to replace Liam as No. 1.
New to the top 20 for girls are old-fashioned classics like Audrey, Sophie, Grace and Ellie alongside Scarlett, Madison, Addison and Autumn.
Logan, Wyatt, Emmett, Henry and Parker are new to the top 20 for boys.
Lily and Samuel have consistently been among the most popular names in the province, but appear to have fallen out of favour. For the first time since 2007, neither name made it into the top 20.
