Two men and a boy were killed Sunday in a head-on collision on Highway 103 near Halifax.

Two men and a boy were killed Sunday in a head-on collision on Highway 103 near Halifax.

Dead are James Bruce Hetherington, 33, of Whites Lake, who was driving a 2000 Jeep, and Evatt Robert Mathers, 60, and Liam Rorey Mathers, 11, of Hubbards, the driver and passenger in a 1988 Volvo.

They all died at the scene of the crash just outside Tantallon, near Exit 5.

A 20-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Jeep is in serious condition at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax.

RCMP Cpl. Joe Taplin said it appeared that one vehicle crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic around 5:45 p.m. Officers are continuing their investigation into the crash.
