The Yukon Government is selling 150 new lots in the second phase of the Whistlebend subdivision in Whitehorse.

Prices start at about $75,000 for a duplex lot and $110,000 for a single-family lot.

Last September, lots in phase one were sold by lottery. Fewer than 30 single family lots received bids but there wasn't much interest in the other 64 lots.

But the territorial government's manager of land development says underwhelming interest last time doesn't mean this round of lots won't sell.

"We've never experienced a position where we haven't sold all the lots within a short period of time and that period of time can be a little longer sometimes," Brian Ritchie said. "I remember with the Granger subdivision, all the lots were developed and put up for lottery and none of them sold. The next year they all sold, so this is what you're facing."

Lottery packages will be available on Sept. 3, 2013. The lottery will take place on Sept. 18, 2013.
