The Yukon government is donating $25,000 to help aid the Syrian refugee crisis.
The money will go to the Canadian Red Cross, which is supporting the Syrian Arab Red Crescent as it provides food, shelter and health care to refugees.
The Yukon NDP and Liberals supported the decision to send aid.
Premier Darrell Pasloski says the parties are coming together to find a way to alleviate the suffering.
He says the parties are also encouraging Yukoners to donate to the cause.
Last week, the Northwest Territories government also pledged $25,000 to the Syrian crisis. Its donation is going to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
