RCMP are warning Yukoners to be wary of white, unmarked pills that could be circulating illegally.

Pills have been sent for full testing after trace amounts of cocaine found

White pills resembling over-the-counter medications but containing narcotics could be circulating in the territory, warn Yukon RCMP.

The unmarked pills were found in a bottle of medication and tested positive for trace amounts of cocaine, RCMP Staff Sgt. Jane Boissonneault said.

The pills have now been sent for a full toxicology analysis.

Police said the pills look similar over-the-counter drugs like ibuprofen and Tylenol, but without a name or dosage information.

RCMP are warning Yukon residents not to take medication unless it has been specifically prescribed by a doctor.

They're asking people to take any unmarked or suspicious pills to the local pharmacy.

Police did not say where the pills were found, or when the toxicology results will be back.
