The City of Yellowknife's fire ban is back on again due to extremely dry conditions.

This is the second fire ban in the city this spring. The first one was lifted a week ago after the area got some rain.

The ban applies to all open air fires, including city-approved firepits.

The city's boil water advisory also continues. It's been in effect since May 11. All residents in Yellowknife, Ndilo and Dettah are advised to boil their drinking water for at least one minute prior to use.
