Yellowknife man charged in Operation Snapshot

A 62-year-old Yellowknife man has been charged with possessing and making child pornography as part of Operation Snapshot.

The RCMP have identified a Yellowknife man charged in a national child pornography investigation.

Gary Stephen Miller, 62 has been charged with possessing and making child pornography.

Miller will appear in territorial court on June 24 to deal with the charges.

The national investigation, known as Operation Snapshot III, involved 40 police agencies across Canada and included 167 investigations by hundreds of officers over several months.

Five prepubescent children — two from British Columbia, and one each in Ontario, New Brunswick and Quebec — were rescued.

More than 150 people were charged or remain under investigation.
